It was very comforting to have Terry to project manage the work and to keep us informed on a day to day basis.
The bedroom/ensuite over our existing garage required some pretty big foundations right on our boundary to incorporate the substantial steel beams. Your structural engineering knowledge came into its own.
The front porch extension has made a great difference to the property and both projects were completed on time.

Dear Graham,
I am writing to give my full recommendation to GRW Construction LTD following the successful completion of our extension. As you know, this was a double height rear extension and single storey side extension with limited access and in a conservation area – no mean feat ! Having involved you and your structural engineer at the earliest opportunity, I was able to explain our requirements and include you in the design of the build. My request that we concentrate on the structure and the fabric of the build was followed to the letter right down to replacing the existing roof coverings, fixing our ancient plumbing and improving the insulation in the original building.
After protracted planning discussions (during which you were very helpful), work commenced on time, thanks to you and your negotiations for access from a neighbouring site. I received a schedule of works that was accurate and detailed and enabled me to manage the finances efficiently. The build proceeded on time with only a slight delay due to weather. The down time due to weather enabled you and your team to carry out my (ever expanding) list of additional requirements and fix a few existing issues that you spotted along the way. Special thanks go to the team: Roger for his ideas on room partitioning to make the most of available space and clever carpentry to give us storage in the tiniest spaces; Terry for his attention to detail in spotting snags in the architectural drawings and coming up with innovative solutions and keeping the planning officer informed; and to the plumbing and electrical specialists who were quizzed endlessly by me about sanitary ware, heating requirements and enough socket points to accommodate a growing family. And finally to Graham, who managed to remain sane despite my daily site visits and general ignorance on building matters: you were kind, informative and patient and organized on all aspects of the build with consummate ease.
So, here are the things that I think your prospective clients should know: The build was to budget and only 1 week over schedule (which on a six month build is amazing). The remedial works that came to light during the build were identified by you and your team, explained in a clear manner and rectified economically. The site was run efficiently and tidily with materials arriving on site just in time to minimize storage requirements and disruption to my neighbours. The build was signed off by the Planning Officer with no outstanding issues. The interior fit out was completed to a good standard and the materials sourced were excellent. The follow up service when small snags came to light was efficient and courteous, nothing was too much bother.
Oh yes, and being the attention to detail person that I am, I had an independent review of the work before I released the final payment. I have in writing that the quality of the build and execution of the internal finish is in the top 10% of inspections that have been completed by the independent reviewer over the last ten years.
You provided me with a full construction service from concept to completion and I cannot recommend you and the team highly enough. With best wishes for continued success.
